I am a computational neuroscientist. Innovating tools of electrophysiology and molecular neuroscience, I model the neural circuits responsible for decoding phonemes from sound. I'm leading the development of DACx, a "digital twin" of the mouse auditory cortex. I aim to translate this work into new neuromorphic AI systems for real-time speech recognition, speech-to-text, and automatic captioning. I've also developed the first statistical regression model for spatial transcriptomics data which allows for detecting between-group effects on the spatial distribution of gene expression.
