I love collaborating with people to solve difficult societal problems that demand our collective attention and effort.
I work at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as a Responsible AI Expert. My team examines the impacts that machine-learning technologies and artificial intelligence systems have on individuals and societies. I lead all aspects of BCG’s Responsible AI program implementation, including developing documentation standards, refining internal processes and policies, providing expertise and guidance to multidisciplinary stakeholders, facilitating meetings with senior leadership, and working with clients across the globe.

Prior to joining BCG, I worked in the Office of Responsible AI at Microsoft, was Data Ethics Officer at Enigma Technologies, Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the University of Denver, and am Cofounder and Faculty-at-Large of the Brooklyn Institute for Social Research. My work has been published and cited in academic journals and discussed in popular publications like Protocol, WirtschaftsWoche, and New York Magazine.
I earned my PhD in Philosophy from Columbia University and B.A. Hons (w. High Distinction) in Philosophy from the University of Toronto. I hail originally from the Toronto area, home of such luminaries as Margaret Atwood, Ian Hacking, Catherine O'Hara, and Drake. Feel free to reach out if you’re interested in moving beyond the traditional boundaries of academia. It’s nice out here in the wild.
