I focus on the ethics and epistemology of intermental relationships. My main project at the moment is to vindicate the unorthodox view that one can be directly aware of another's character traits, rather than having to infer them from known behavior, thought, or feeling. This research intersects with debates concerning reactive attitudes and doxastic wronging, moral knowledge and mental externalism, virtue and disposition, consciousness and mindreading.
