Michael Kump studied undergraduate philosophy at Grinnell College under Professor John Worley and others, including spending a semester studying at The University of Edinburgh in Scotland where he studied Kant with Professor W.H. Walsh. After graduating from Grinnell College, he enrolled in the graduate Philosophy program at The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He then enrolled in The University of Michigan Law School where he received his J.D. Since then, he has been practicing civil litigation in Los Angeles. He is a founding partner of the law firm Kinsella Weitzman Iser Kump & Aldisert LLP, now known as Kinsella Holley Iser Kump Steinsapir LLP, where he continues to practice law with an emphasis in IP, media and entertainment litigation.
