    Neutral Monism Beyond Russell

    The dissertation begins with a question: Are the mind and brain the same or different? I spend Chapter 1 showing how this simple question leads to a philosophical puzzle known as the mind-body problem. By way of explaining the puzzle, I show that there are two demands that a satisfactory solution to the puzzle must meet – what I call the Ontological and Explanatory Demands.
