I am currently a Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellow in the Seminar for Philosophy at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany. My research focuses on issues in meta-ethics, practical reasoning, and the philosophy of action in eighteenth-century German and British philosophy. I am particularly interested in the writings of Christian Wolff, Immanuel Kant, Francis Hutcheson, and Adam Smith and a number of my publications have sought to better understand Kant's ethics by placing him in dialogue with his eighteenth-century British and German predecessors.
