Michiel Streijger

I received my M.A. (Greek and Latin) and Ph.D. (Philosophy) from Radboud University, Nijmegen. As a postdoc, I worked with Professor Rega Wood on the edition of Richard Rufus of Cornwall’s Scriptum in Metaphysicam Aristotelis. In the period 2014–2023 I was an employee at the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Munich. I am the editor of Robert Cowton’s commentary on the Sentences by Peter Lombard, and John Buridan’s question commentaries on Aristotle’s De generatione et corruptione and the Physics. Most recently, I prepared a digital edition of Walter Burley’s two early Physics commentaries (www.walter-burley.badw.de). From February until the end of April, I will be connected to the Aristoteles Latinus project, making an index for a new edition of Aristotle’s Politica. Here I offer some of my work. Not listed here are Buridan’s commentary on De generatione et corruptione and Cowton’s commentary on Book II of the Sentences, but you can find them in PhilArchive.
