Dr Miranda Anderson is an Honorary Fellow of the University of Edinburgh and Associate Lecturer with the Open University. She believes in the mind-expanding value of engagement with the arts and humanities. She has led the development of distributed cognition as a framework that illuminates our understanding of the nature and value of the arts and culture. She is the author of The Renaissance Extended Mind (2015) and co-editor of The Book of the Mirror (2007) and four volumes on Distributed Cognition between Classical Antiquity and Modernism (2018-20).
