My research broadly focuses on epistemic issues concerning evolutionary theory. In practice, I utilize knowledge sitting at the frontiers of the history and philosophy of science to inform my scientific conceptual analyses on natural selection theory, adaptive genetic variation, and evolvability— thereby demonstrating the utility of HPS to a broader scientific audience. I prefer to see myself as an evolutionary biologist who is a keen student of philosophy rather than a full-blown philosopher of science, merely because I am less knowledgeable of the philosophical literature than I am the biological literature.
