In my research, I am interested in applying various developments born mainly from what is known as "queer theory" to issues that go beyond its classical analysis of gender and sexuality. In my PhD research this approach focused on the disputes on representations of the past, particularly regarding “new subjects” traditionally excluded from historiographical canons. My current research interests are:
-Critical queer theory: critical perspectives on queer theory and politics from an intersectional perspective (class, race, postcolonialism). Approaches from practical philosophy, politics and law.
-Representations of present-past in terms of progress: epistemologies, politics and exclusions in narratives of success, particularly in Latin American and Argentinian contemporary contexts.
-Professional ethics applied to the academy: ethics of teaching and research; privilege and inequality in academia; dilemmas in financing and in the relationship with the State and the civil society.
I am also a freelance Spanish-English translator and have published several translations in the areas of queer theory, philosophy of history and political theory (some examples here and here).
