23Body memory and danceIn Sabine C. Koch, Thomas Fuchs, Michela Summa & Cornelia Müller (eds.), Body Memory, Metaphor and Movement, John Benjamins. pp. 105-112. 2012.Memory implies the retention of the present as well as the expectation of future events, even though these, as soon as they are perceived, pass by and belong to the past. This article investigates the possibility of a subjective bodily experience of time as a form of body memory. In dialog with Husserl’s later phenomenology of the body and with the phenomenology of dance, it will be argued that the body is the unconstituted condition of the constitution of time and space.
