I work on the history of modern philosophy from the seventeenth to the nineteenth centuries, especially in the German context. My main interests are in metaphysics and philosophy of science, especially causation and teleology. Figures of particular interest include Johann Clauberg, Christian Wolff, Immanuel Kant, and Wilhelm Dilthey. I also have interests in medieval philosophy (Latin and Arabic).
