I'm interested in ethical deliberation, moral psychology, personal identity and practical agency, and most of my publications deal in some way with the relationship between ethical theory and moral practice, or with successful practices in ethics teaching and training. My current scholarship is focused on (1) the efficacy of philosophical counseling in response to moral injury and moral distress, and (2) common themes in the work of Mary Midgley, Iris Murdoch, G.E.M. Anscome, Mary Warnock, and Philippa Foot.
