I am an independent Australian philosopher. My main areas of research are aesthetics, ethics, metaphysics, philosophical anthropology, phenomenology, philosophy of mind, complexity science, biosemiotics, and the history and philosophy of culture. I am aligned with the tradition of process philosophy and have published on these topics, with a special interest in F. W. Schelling, C. S. Peirce, Max Scheler, Paul Ricoeur, Maurice Merleau-Ponty, and others of the ‘radical enlightenment’ leading back to Aristotle.
