Nathan U. Salmon (né Nathan Salmon Ucuzoglu on January 2, 1951) is an American philosopher in the analytic tradition, specializing in analytic metaphysics, philosophy of language, and philosophy of logic. He is Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he taught for 40 years. He also taught at Princeton University; the University of California, Riverside; UCLA; and the University of Southern California. In addition, he was a regular visiting distinguished professor at the City University of New York Graduate Center (2009-2012).
