Nathan U. Salmon (né Nathan Salmon Ucuzoglu on January 2, 1951) is an American philosopher in the analytic tradition, specializing in analytic metaphysics, philosophy of language, and philosophy of logic. He is Distinguished Professor of Philosophy at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he has taught for the past 40 years. He has also taught at Princeton University; the University of California, Riverside; UCLA; and the University of Southern California. In addition, he was a regular visiting distinguished professor at the City University of New York Graduate Center (2009-2012).
