I am currently a Lecturer in the Program in Medical Ethics and Human Values in the Tulane University School of Medicine and Medical Ethicist at the New Orleans VA Medical Center. My research and teaching specialties are in Ethics, Biomedical Ethics, Agency & Responsibility, and Moral Psychology.

My current research focuses on exploring how empirical evidence in psychology and neuroscience can inform standing debates about what it means to be a morally responsible agent. I have additional research interests in problems relating to mental illness and judgments of competence in biomedical ethics as well as the philosophy of blame and praise.
