Nicholas Smith is a senior lecturer at the Department of Philosophy at Södertörn University, Stockholm (Sweden). His new researchproject, Perceptions of the Other, investigates proto-ethics of perception from the point of view of transcendental aesthetics (Levinas, Husserl), psychoanalysis (Kristeva, Lacan, Khanna), feminist philosophy (Young, Butler, Alcoff) and postcolonial thinking (Fanon, Gordon, Ahmed).
