Nick Riggle

I am Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of San Diego (PhD NYU 2013, BA UC Berkeley 2006). My work centers around questions about the nature of aesthetic value and its place in our lives. I draw on and contribute to work in value theory, philosophy of language, history of philosophy, moral psychology, social philosophy, and other areas. I also write for non-academic audiences and have published work in various popular outlets, including Penguin Books, Basic Books, The New York Times, McSweeney's, Psyche, LitHub, Aeon, and others.
