Nino Kadic

My academic interests lie primarily at the intersection of the philosophy of mind and metaphysics, where I examine theories of consciousness, personal identity, and the nature of objects and properties. In the future, I plan to connect my current research with other topics in these areas, specifically with physicalist theories of consciousness and issues in cognitive science. Additionally, I explore topics in the philosophy of religion, focusing on alternative conceptions of divinity, the divine attributes, and aspects of East Asian Buddhism. Within the history of philosophy, I am particularly drawn to the contributions of René Descartes and Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz. I also engage with AI ethics, mainly with whole brain emulation, digital immortality, and digital suffering.
