I work in philosophy of mind and metaphysics, focusing mainly on what consciousness is and what we need to posit in our ontology to explain it. On the one hand, I am interested in panpsychism, the view that consciousness is fundamental and ubiquitous, and not fully captured by the physical sciences. On the other hand, I am also interested in Russellian physicalism, which holds that reality has an intrinsic aspect that the physical sciences cannot reveal, though it may still count as physical in some relevant sense.
