Noell Birondo is Professor of Philosophy and chair of the department at the University of Texas at El Paso. His main interests lie at the intersection of contemporary moral philosophy and ancient Greek philosophy. He is currently editing a book on the moral psychology of hate and writing a book on the influence of Western imperialism, and specifically the European encounter with the Americas, on our conceptions of the moral virtues.
