Noell Birondo is Professor of Philosophy and chair of the department at the University of Texas at El Paso. He works primarily in moral philosophy and the history of ethics. His 2022 book The Moral Psychology of Hate was named an Outstanding Academic Title by CHOICE. He is also part of a four-person team awarded a $1 million NSF grant to embed ethics in AI curricula at universities across the US. A winner of the APA's Essay Prize in Latin American Thought, and Chair of the APA’s Committee on Inclusiveness in the Profession, he completed his Ph.D. at the University of Notre Dame and his B.A. at the University of California, Berkeley.
