I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Toronto. Much of my research over the years has centred on questions to do with religion and morality, often within the context of modern European intellectual history. I am passionate about creating dialogues between different traditions of philosophy, as well as exploring the history of ideas in ways sensitive to other modes of representation (including art, music, poetry, and literature). My main areas of research lie in Kant, German Idealism, German Romanticism, and South Asian Philosophy. I also have longstanding interests in literary criticism.
