My primary research interests lie in the philosophy of mathematics, the philosophy of science (especially physics and probability), and related issues in metaphysics and epistemology (especially the nature and role of infinity, explanation, platonism, theoretical virtues, and representation). I also maintain secondary interests in ancient philosophy and Kant. Generally speaking, I try to answer philosophical questions about mathematics and the sciences in a way that is both historically sensitive and technically informed.
