Pavlo Pavlenko

PAVLENKO Pavlo – Doctor of Philosophical Sciences (Dr. habil.), Leading Researcher at the H.S. Skovoroda Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Kyiv, Ukraine). His primary research interests include early Christianity, Christology, biblical studies, religion and nationality, philosophy of religion, and the political science of religion. The author has published over 300 works, including articles in academic journals, popular science periodicals, theological and encyclopedic publications, as well as contributions to media and online platforms. He has authored numerous chapters in collective monographs and four single-author monographs: Plato and Christianity (2001), Jesus Christ: A Historical Figure (2002), Ethnic and Universal in Early Christianity: Foundations, Features, Trends (2009), and From Heavenly to Earthly: The Change of Gospel Paradigms in Contemporary Christianity (2024). Dr. Pavlenko also edited the first Ukrainian translation (from Coptic and English) of the Gospel of Judas (2007).
