In 2003, I stepped down as a tenured, full professor of philosophy at Earlham College in order to work full-time on open access to research. For a while I retained a research position at Earlham but now I'm emeritus. I'm currently the Director of the Harvard Office for Scholarly Communication, Director of the Harvard Open Access Project, and Senior Researcher at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society. PhilPapers harvests the Harvard repository, where most of my philosophy publications are on deposit. But somehow PhilPapers still omits most of mine. For a full list of my publications and links to open-access editions, see my home page.
