I am an assistant professor (akademischer Rat a.Z.) at the Department of Philosophy at Bielefeld University. For the academic year 2024/25, I'm a visiting professor at the Institute of Philosophy, Leibniz University Hannover. My research interests span general philosophy of science, philosophy of cognitive and brain sciences, and science and society.

I'm currently writing a book on the development, structure and normative evaluation of scientific concepts. I also work on the epistemology of experiments and discovery, tool development, multiscale modeling, methodology in science and the humanities, and climate science and society.
