Holding a Ph.D. in Modern and Contemporary Philosophy, I am currently senior researcher at the Institute of Philosophy/Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the NOVA University of Lisbon (IFILNOVA/FCSH), where I also am in charge for the chairs of Philosophy of Science and Philosophy of Knowledge.
I am member of the "Association HyperNietzsche"; the "Ibero-American Network of Nietzsche Studies"; the "Iberian Network of Philosophy of Science"; and collaborator of the "Internationale Nietzscheforschungsgruppe Stuttgart". Also, I have been the coordinator of the "Lisbon Nietzsche Group", between 2017 and 2022.

My main fields of academic interest are the History of Philosophy and the History and Philosophy of Science. My work has focused most extensively on Friedrich Nietzsche (epistemology and anthropological ethics); Ernst Mach (anti-realism and pragmatist epistemology); William James (pragmatism and radical empiricism); Mary B. Hesse (post-empiricism and constructivism).
