I'm Professor of Law and Professor of Philosophy (by courtesy) at Illinois Tech.

My philosophical interests include metaethics, the philosophy of law, and American pragmatism, while my legal doctrinal work focuses on constitutional protections for criminals and the accused. Before coming to Illinois Tech, I taught at Penn State and at Louisiana State University. Before that, I earned my JD-PhD from Northwestern, my MA at the University of Chicago, and my BA at Williams College.
