• I completed my undergraduate studies in Philosophy and English at the American University in Beirut in 1975. For my graduate studies in Philosophy attended Indiana University, Bloomington, where I finished my PhD in Philosophy in 1983, writing a dissertation on Leibniz and the Identity of Indiscernibles. • I have taught at many universities, including IUPUI, Indiana, Yarmouk University (Jordan), Birzeit University (Palestine) (where I helped found the MA Program in Democracy and Human Rights), United Arab Emirates University (where I was Chair of the Philosophy Dept. from 2005 to 2008), and Qatar University (2014-2015).
