This science communication article explores how ancient Greek societies utilized their physical environment to regulate women’s lives, sexuality, and reproduction. Focusing on the Argolid region, the study applies the anthropological concept of "topographic writing" to demonstrate that the natural landscape served as a legible canvas for social control and collective memory. Rather than relying solely on civil laws, the ancient polis embedded biopolitical regulations—such as marriage and legitimate lineage—into sacred topographies and religious rituals overseen by deities like Aphrodite. Through specific case studies, the research decodes the 'topograms' of the Argolid, including embodied prenuptial hair offerings to Hippolytus in Troezen, the reproductive regulatory node of Aphrodite’s temple in Hermione for both brides and widows, and the ritualized gender subversion of the Hybristika festival in Argos. These sacred spaces and practices functioned as a panoptic tool, transforming strict patriarchal norms into unquestionable divine laws. Ultimately, reading the mnemohistory inscribed in the landscape allows the HIEROTOPOI project to move beyond male-centric historical narratives, successfully recovering the marginalized, lived experiences of ancient women. In this paper is analyzed the fragment DK 88, B25 as a source of atheism and unbelief in Ancient Greece. After a description of the different studies that have been done of the fragment, we should focus the analysis in the different ideas and philosophical positions of the fragment. A detailed study of the text shows us many of the philosophical theories that compose the thought of the midfifth century BC. Those ideas are developed from the natural theology that is constructed in theistic opposition to the theology of the poets. In the mid-fifth century BC, specifically in Athens, this natural theology is expanded towards the Athenian intellectual circles that relativize the ritual practice and the existence of the gods. This is the cause of the irreligious and atheism positions that we can see in the fragment DK 88, B25.
