I am a professor of philosophy and communication studies at SIU Carbondale. I currently teach courses in Western rhetorical theory, the philosophy of culture (including popular culture), the phenomenology of communication, semiotics and other topics pertaining to meaning, language, and being. I am an activist, a radio DJ, a musician, a Methodist, and am owned by several cats and one woman, in that order.
