Raquel Cascales holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Navarra, where she received the Extraordinary Doctoral Award for her dissertation on the 'End of art' in Hegel and Arthur Danto. She has been a Visiting Scholar at The Warburg Institute, University of London (2018), and at Columbia University (2022). She currently teaches at the University of Navarra in the areas of philosophical Aesthetics and Ethics of Design.

Her research initially focused on Arthur Danto and the boundaries of art, with publications such as "El fin del arte. Hegel y Danto cara a cara" (2020) and "Arte y transformación social" (2023). More recently, her work has centered on Everyday aesthetics and the Aesthetics of care. She coordinated the first monographic issue in Spanish on everyday aesthetics, “El poder de la estética de lo cotidiano” (Anuario Filosófico, 2025), and published the book "Habitar el mundo. Una invitación a la estética de lo cotidiano" (Eunsa, 2026).
She is a member of the board of the Spanish Society for Aesthetics and Theory of the Arts (SEyTA). Currently, she participates in the research project DISARQ, funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.
