La determinación como Dasein que Heidegger propone del "ente que somos en cada caso nosotros mismos" es, a nuestro parecer, un aporte fundamental en la historia de la filosofía. El carácter fundamental de esta aportación radica en que el Dasein de trazos heideggerianos se constituye en un concepto capaz de superar las aporías relativas al problema del fundamento sobre el cual el ser humano puede construir el punto de partida de su trato con el mundo. Esto lo logra al comprender de forma renovada dos elementos históricamente constitutivos de la analítica de dicho trato: "sujeto" y "objeto". Es así que la comprensión de las implicaciones del Dasein heideggeriano conlleva una consideración de tipo histórico sobre estos elementos y la forma de tematización que históricamente han recibido: el espacio.

This paper provides an analysis of the argumentative mechanisms put forward in the Letters from Mexico(Cartas de Relación) written by Hernán Cortés to Charles V in order to legitimize the territorial conquest of what would become the New Spain and, in doing so, of the New World. It seeks particularly to show the use of the rhetorical concept of inventio in the transition from a conceptual appropriation of the New World (through the elaboration of the very concept of “New World”) to its territorial control (with the foundation of Veracruz and the creation of the New Spain).

The aim of this paper is to highlight the importance of space in the building of Modern thought and, on that basis, the foundation of geopolitical and geo-economic thought and practices that characterize what we now call globalization. It is in indeed on spatial forms of representation and understanding of reality, that signifies a rupture with the ontological orientation of Western premodern thought, that modern epistemology is developed making it possible for the West to think and engage the geopolitical and geo-economic appropriation of the Earth as a whole. I then sought in this work to account the process of constitution of Modernity that, on the basis of the fundamental quality of space and as, then, the organizer for the understanding of reality, operates the reconfiguration of the concept of space leading to the identification of the whole Earth with a homogeneous space, susceptible to the West of human habitation and appropriation.
