I'm a PhD student at the University of British Columbia, working primarily on aesthetics and the history of philosophy. My main interests in aesthetics are in aesthetic value, normativity, and judgment, as well as aesthetic demarcation and the history of aesthetics. On the history side, I am mostly interested in 19th and 20th Century European philosophy. Schopenhauer is the main focus of my history work. My current main project is articulating and defending a "Schopenhauerian" theory of aesthetic value.
