    with M. Hochel, E. G. Milan, A. González, F. Tornay, K. McKenney, J. L. Mata Martín, Rodriguez Artacho, E. Domínguez García, and J. Vila
    Journal of Consciousness Studies 14 (4): 75-95. 2007.
Synaesthesia is a condition in which one type of stimulation evokes the sensation of another, as when the hearing of a sound produces photisms, i.e. mental percepts of colours. R is a 20 year old colour blind subject who, in addition to the relatively common grapheme-colour synaesthesia, presents a rarely reported cross modal perception in which a variety of visual stimuli elicit aura-like percepts of colour. In R, photisms seem to be closely related to the affective valence of stimuli and typic…Read more

Anomaly detection comparison for photo-paroxysmal response detection
with Fernando Moncada Martins, Víctor M. González, José R. Villar, María Antonia Gutiérrez, Pablo Calvo Calleja, Sara Urdiales Sánchez, and Alinne Dalla-Porta Acosta
Logic Journal of the IGPL 34 (1). 2026.
Photosensitivity is a neurological condition in which the brain produces epileptic reactions known as Photoparoxysmal Responses (PPR) to certain visual stimuli, which may trigger epileptic seizures in the worst cases. This pathology is diagnosed through a standardized protocol called Intermittent Photic Stimulation consisting of stimulating the patient with a flashing light while recording the brain activity by Electroencephalogram (EEG) until a PPR is triggered. Due to the nature of the stimula…Read more

Se pretende con ello conciliar dos planos de la investigación kantiana que han sido tradicionalmente contrapuestos: facticidad y transcendentalidad, quid facti…Read more

The distinctive security features of the Spanish electronic national identity card, known as Documento Nacional de Identidad electrónico, allow us to propose the usage of this cryptographic smart card in an authentication framework that can be used during the registration and login phases of internet services where the validation of the user’s age and real identity are key elements, as it is the case for example of the so-called social networks. Using this mechanism with NFC-capable devices, the…Read more
