Rob Lovering is Professor of Philosophy and Chair of the Philosophy Department at CUNY - College of Staten Island. He is the author of On the Moral Right to Get High (Palgrave Macmillan, 2025), A Moral Defense of Prostitution (Palgrave Macmillan, 2021), A Moral Defense of Recreational Drug Use (Palgrave Macmillan, 2015), and God and Evidence: Problems for Theistic Philosophers (Bloomsbury Academic, 2013) and editor of The Palgrave Handbook of Philosophy and Psychoactive Drug Use (Palgrave Macmillan, 2024). His next book, Pro-Life: What It Is and Why It Matters, is in progress. He lives in New York City.
