It is thus in some senses a religious institutionalism. I am working with Ted Schatzki on cryptocurrencies, blockchains and platforms as a site to develop a practice institutionalism. With Henk Roose on the institutional logics of intimate life among American university students and with Janet Afary, Maria Charles and Ramina Sotoudeh on religion, gender and love in Muslim-majority countries. And I have been thinking about institutional objects, those objects whose existence and actionability depend on particular teleo-ontologies with Diane-Laure Arjaliès. Finally, I am working with Laurent Thévénot on the commonalities and dissonances between the orders of worth perspective and institutional logics. I am particularly curious about the work of Foucault, Bourdieu, Heidegger, Barad, de Certeau and Peirce.
