I'm a doctoral candidate working on the relevance of metaphor and analogy for philosophical methodology. More generally I am interested in the thesis that analogy-making is a general-level cognitive mechanism that pervades human thought, and that has been underestimated by much of the philosophical tradition. One aspect of my work is reframing methodological debates about what philosophers do with concepts (analysis, engineering, amelioration, etc.) against this background.
