I am Roope (he/him). I work mostly on issues in the intersection of metaphysics and philosophy of mind. I am particularly interested in experiences of absences like shadows, darkness, and silence. My PhD thesis was about whether and how naïve realist accounts of perception can account for experiences of absences.
I am currently working on a project developing a unified perceptualist account of absence experiences across different sense modalities. In addition, I am working on a couple of papers clarifying the positive metaphysical picture that naïve realist accounts of perceptual experience can provide.
