Rosemary Douglas Lombard is an interdisciplinary animal behaviorist/cognitive psychologist who, since 1979, has investigated the potential of cognition in socialized terrestrial chelonians in her independent laboratory. She has taught at Indiana University-Bloomington, Loyola University-Chicago, and Roosevelt University and has presented papers on her research at regional and international conferences in four academic fields and has lectured at universities, museums, and elsewhere. She is affiliated with the NW Independent Scholars Assn.
