Ryan is currently Associate Professor of Philosophy at Fairfield University. His research centers on issues of aesthetics and politics, both in Ancient Greek philosophy and 20th century Critical Theory. He is currently completing a manuscript on modes of irrational persuasion in Plato's dialogues.
