Salvador Herrera (Sal) is a PhD student, researcher, and teaching assistant at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). As an interdisciplinary scholar, his proposed dissertation project in the department of English literature focuses on how contemporary Latinx cultural producers sense systemic oppression and dream a world otherwise. He has written several articles for Synapsis: A Health Humanities Journal, along with an article on race, cybernetics, and the role of mediation in border subject formation as part of a 2021 special issue of Intertexts: A Journal of Comparative and Theoretical Reflection.
