This book delivers a fundamental critique of the category of ‘Occidentalism,’ arguing that its contemporary revival in scholarship constitutes an epistemic fabrication. This fabrication functions to pathologize situated critiques from the Global South, thereby preserving asymmetric North–South epistemic relations and obscuring a deeper historical pathology. To diagnose this pathology, the book constructs an interdisciplinary theoretical framework centered on the figure of the Schizophrenic Vassal State. This political form is produced by two core mechanisms: the Ready-Made Modernity Paradigm—the massive export of concluded Northern institutional and epistemic forms as universal solutions—and Vicarious Conditioning—the psycho-social process whereby subaltern elites internalize a mimetic desire for recognition by observing rewarded Northern models. The cumulative outcome is Ethical Schizophrenia, a fractured collective consciousness severed from its own ethical sovereignty. The argument is demonstrated through a series of interlocking case studies that trace, via a method of traceability, the devastating effects of this global disorder: the philosophical misrecognition of Japan’s Kyoto School (Chapter II), the historical anatomy of Ottoman–Turkish mimicry (Chapter III), and the (post)colonial mirage of the Arab world (Chapter IV), where the state becomes a guardian of colonial legacies. The book culminates in a typology of pathological statehood (Chapter V), revealing a spectrum that extends from the anxious performer to the silent captive of the rentier cargo-cult. The analysis achieves its full contemporary urgency in its final movement, where the theoretical framework is projected onto the digital age to diagnose the emergence of Algorithmic Vassalage. Here, the schizophrenic vassal state evolves into a new, silent captivity enforced by the data colonialism and black-box AI of the Cloud Empire. This epilogue argues that the foreclosure of ethical sovereignty is now being perfected not by geopolitical hegemony alone, but by privatized, algorithmic infrastructures that annex human life itself, representing the terminal stage of the Ready-Made Modernity Paradigm. By integrating diagnostic political theory, psychoanalysis, and intellectual history through a method of traceability, the book demonstrates that the Schizophrenic Vassal State is not a series of local failures but the defining global pathology of our time—a pathology that culminates in the silent captivity of algorithmic vassalage, where ethical sovereignty is foreclosed not by geopolitical force alone, but by the black-box architectures of the Cloud Empire.

Este libro ofrece una crítica introspectiva primero a la categoría de ‘Occidentalismo’, argumentando que su resurgimiento contemporáneo en la academia constituye una fabricación epistémica. Esta fabricación funciona para patologizar las críticas situadas del Sur Global, preservando así las relaciones epistémicas asimétricas Norte-Sur y oscureciendo una patología histórica más profunda. Para diagnosticar esta patología, el libro construye un marco teórico interdisciplinar centrado en la figura del Estado Vasallo Esquizofrénico. Una forma política producida por dos mecanismos centrales: el Paradigma de la Modernidad Prefabricada, en cuanto a su exportación masiva de formas institucionales y epistémicas concluidas del Norte como soluciones universales; y el Condicionamiento Vicario, un proceso psicosocial mediante el cual las élites subalternas internalizan una ansiedad mimética por el reconocimiento al observar los modelos recompensados del Norte. El resultado acumulativo es la Esquizofrenia Ética: una conciencia colectiva fracturada, separada de su propia soberanía ética, conductora a consolidar la dependencia ética, como nueva forma de colonialismo global. El argumento se demuestra empíricamente a través de una serie de estudios de caso interconectados que esbozan, mediante un método de trazabilidad, los devastadores efectos de este trastorno global: el malentendido filosófico de la Escuela de Kioto de Japón (Capítulo II), la anatomía histórica del mimetismo otomano-turco (Capítulo III) y el espejismo (pos)colonial del mundo árabe (Capítulo IV), donde el Estado se convierte en un guardián de los legados coloniales. El libro culmina con una tipología de la estatalidad patológica (Capítulo V), revelando un espectro que se extiende desde el mimetismo ansioso hasta el cautivo silencioso del culto al cargamento rentista. El análisis alcanza su máxima urgencia contemporánea en su movimiento final, donde el marco teórico se proyecta sobre la era digital para diagnosticar la emergencia del Vasallaje Algorítmico. Aquí, el estado vasallo esquizofrénico evoluciona hacia una nueva cautividad silenciosa, impuesta por el (neo)colonialismo de datos y la IA de caja negra del ‘Imperio de la Nube’. De ahí se añade un epílogo que conecta la tesis con esta neo-realidad, para argumentar que la clausura de la soberanía ética se está perfeccionando ahora no solo por la hegemonía geopolítica, sino por infraestructuras algorítmicas privatizadas que anexionan la propia vida humana, representando la etapa terminal de la tiránica modernidad prefabricada. De ahí, combinando la teoría política diagnóstica, el psicoanálisis y la historia intelectual, operacionalizados a través de una metodología de trazabilidad, el libro revela que la producción del Estado Vasallo Esquizofrénico no es una serie de fracasos locales, sino como la patología global definitoria de nuestro tiempo, advirtiendo de su extensión, como una ‘surificación’ de las periferias del Norte Global, donde el vasallaje ya no es solo un destino del Sur, sino una amenaza que asciende hacia el propio centro.

The concept of sovereignty and laicism still being instrumented into different projection to that’s which have been conceived and used for through the french revolution and the old regime. This article is not to discuss that, but to delight how another concept deduced from it becomes antagonistic with it in the French context. Laicity referred to the French V constitution, or the act of 1905, it’s not what it appear, and mostly known in the french literature, this article is to reject all that, and go toward an etymological construction of the concept into the french politics since XV century. Then to examination who and how the old regime, and the XIX century have been involved with the religious beliefs then to answer the questions: does the revolution have been laic or atheist? The answer is useful to go forward the examination of the french act of the separation of the State from the churches of 1905, and to determine if that act has been laic or atheist. The questions of how the idea of laicism has been reversed into the interwar period thus to the 1958 constitution to be developed in a further work, but the conclusion proposed here is the evidence of constitutional inter-contradiction and reversed usage of the concept which is being instrumented today further then a constitutional idolatry, but a constitutional nihilism.
