I specialize in philosophy of language and mind with interests in theories of mental and linguistic content, contextualism and relativism, semantics and pragmatics and meaning determination. My PhD thesis Predicates of Personal Taste and Perspective Dependence is on the semantics of predicates of personal taste. I discuss and criticize the recent accounts (especially contextualism and relativism) and defend a novel account which holds that predicates of taste have perspective-dependent meanings although the speakers often don't realize that which leads them to disagree about taste.
