I am currently a Postdoctoral Clinical Ethics Fellow at the University of Utah's Center for Health Ethics, Arts, and Humanities. In my research, I combine feminist philosophy with empirical health and social science to identify ideological distortions, debunk essentializing and victim-blaming explanations, and reveal the social and political determinants of health. My current work focuses on the biopolitics of sterilization and how cultural stereotypes about pain sensitivity obscure the structural and political causes of pain inequities and enable systematic testimonial injustice.
