My ancient Greek philosophy scholarship explores the intersection of ethics, art and emotion; the dramatic and educational aspects of Plato’s dialogues; and 'purpose' or 'telos' in Aristotle's natural philosophy. I am currently an MFA student in fiction at Warren Wilson College. Formerly, I was tenure-track faculty in philosophy at Carleton College (2013-2017) and visiting faculty at the University of British Columbia. I have also held positions at Northern Arizona University, Pima College, and Southern New Hampshire University.
