I'm a political theorist who teaches in the interdisciplinary PhD program in Jurisprudence & Social Policy at UC Berkeley Law School. I have written on multiculturalism, group-differentiated rights, immigration, the rights of immigrants, citizenship, and the scope and substance of democracy. I am currently working on questions about the value of freedom of speech in a democratic society.
