Mohammad Reza Haghighi Fard (Sasan) is a PhD researcher in philosophy of science at the Institute of Philosophy, Leiden University. He is writing a dissertation on "Relations between Philosophy and Science in the Twentieth Century". His main research interests are twentieth- century manifestations of the project to integrate science and philosophy, as advocated by logical positivists and others; he also examines the prospects of that project today and its implications for science teaching.
